Lexington, KY, known as the
“Horse Capital of World,” is located in the heart of the
Bluegrass Region. It is the second-largest city in Kentucky
after Louisville. While visitors to Lexington will be charmed by
the beauty of the rolling green hills and white picket fences of
the lovely horse farms that dot the countryside, there are many
in the inner city who struggle just to maintain a safe residence
and feed their families.
SCHOOL FACTS
Showers - There
are showers on site - girls have individual stalls, boys are
communal.
Program Area
- There is
an auditorium and it does have A/C.
Sleeping Arrangements -
Male
campers sleep in art/music/theatre rooms with A/C.
Female
campers sleep in gym with A/C.
Additional Information -
The
school is located in a safe, residential area of the city, there
is also a chapel in the school.

In Lexington, Catholic Heart Workcamp serves those in need by
feeding children what is sometimes their only meal of the day,
painting and repairing the homes of the elderly, helping
refugees move into the community, working with teens who are
dealing with crisis pregnancies, and much more. Our focus is on
relationship building and we hope to build one with you as you
give up a week of your summer to serve others. May God richly

Dedicated to man's relationship

Aviation Museum of Kentucky
Located at Blue Grass Airport,
Lexington. The facility has 12,000 square feet of display
area, a fully equipped shop for aviation restoration
projects, an office, a library/archive and a gift shop. The
Museum is a dynamic entity which includes not only older
restored aircraft and memorabilia, but also air-worthy,
flyable aircraft for the public to enjoy.

Mammoth Cave National Park
Mammoth
Cave National Park was established to preserve the cave
system, including Mammoth Cave, the scenic river valleys of
the Green and Nolin rivers, and a section of south central
Kentucky. This is the longest recorded cave system in the
world with more than 360 miles explored and mapped.

Bluegrass Scenic Railroad
Enjoy a nostalgic train ride
through 11 miles of beautiful Bluegrass horse and tobacco
farms, with a stop at a scenic overlook on the Kentucky
River. Vintage railroad equipment and memorabilia are
on display at the museum. Non-scheduled special excursions
can be arranged 30 days in advance; deposit required.

Basketball Museum salutes the 96-year history of the
country's most successful men's collegiate basketball team
through interactive, high-tech exhibits, historical
