SCHOOL FACTS
Showers
Girls showers are in there room which is upstairs and all
the girls sleep together.
Boys showers are in the gym boys on one side and adult males
on the other side.
Sleeping
Girls sleep in one area and the adult women sleep in a
blocked off area with the girls which is air conditioned.
Boys sleep in classrooms that are air conditioned.
Program
Is in the gym which is not air conditioned but we do have
big fans. We are also on a lake and get a good breeze off of
the lake.
Mary Help of Christians is a oratory which is a Salesian
community all the priest are Salesians and there are
brothers that live here as well. We also have a retirement
community of Salesians that live on the property as well. We
have a parish which is Mary of Help of Christians and we
have a boys and girls youth center here as well. The
property is on a lake and has many trees on it. The property
is very big and has been here for over 70 years. If you do
not know anything about the Salesian order, they were
discovered by Don Bosco and they are devoted to the youth.
We have 2 chapels at the main part of the building and have
mass daily.
WORKSITE INFORMATION
There are a
variety of jobs; we work at boys
and girls club and we also work at one of the biggest
ministry in the Tampa Bay area which is Metropolitan
Ministries. We
also will be working at Kimberly house which help young
unwed mothers. We help a big children's home here as well.
We also help elderly with yard work and work that they need
done but can not afford to hire someone to do for them.
There is a lot of work to do in the Tampa Bay area.

Busch Gardens
The nation's fourth
largest zoo, Bush Gardens
is where you can see African animals roaming free and an
exciting amusement park featuring its world-famous rides like
Kumba and the new inverted roller-coaster, Montu.. Kids will
enjoy the Land of the Dragons and the whole family will enjoy
shows like Hollywood Live on Ice and Dolphins of the Deep.

Honeymoon Island and Caladesi
Island State Parks
Sharing an
entrance and a parking lot, these two parks are just a few
hundred yards from one another. However, whereas
Honeymoon Island is right where you park,
Caladesi Island is off the coast across Hurricane Pass
and is accessible only by boat or ferry. One of Florida's
few undeveloped barrier islands, 600-acre Caladesi Island
has a beach on the gulf side, mangroves on the bay side.
