After reading all the comments on the
board, I wanted to say that as a "MOM", I am so proud of all
the teenagers I encountered at the Edison, NJ CHWC. Your
enthusiasm, youth, spirit and love of Christ was truly an
inspiration to me. To see teens make such remarkable
friendships while doing the work of the Lord makes me
realize how lucky I am to be involved with our youth. I hope
all your parents can see you the way I did and be as proud
of you and love you the way God loved his Son. None of us is
perfect, but the lights that shone thru all of you that week
were nothing short of brilliant! I thank my youth group for
allowing me to be a part of their lives that I will remember
forever and for team #8, thank you for a great week of
spirit, laughter and hard work. Christian - you are an
incredibly talented guy and I know you will go far! Hope to
see you all again at a future CHWC. Kudos to the staff -
what a great job you did on little sleep. I guess that's one
of the perks of being young! I admire you all so much and
appreciate all your hard work (and fun)! All of you opened
up your hearts and souls to us and made us realize how
vulnerable we all are but that should not keep us from doing
the work of the Lord.
God bless you and keep you in his care!

Hey! I went
to Nashville this summer and had the best time EVER! I still
wish I could go back. I made so many friends and I miss them
so much. If you have never gone before then you should go to
CHWC. You will learn so much about yourself, your faith, and
others too. Plus, you will get to help people. And don't be
freaked if you don't know anyone or anything. When I went I
was the only one from Mattoon but I knew a few people from
other towns. A few weeks before we went I didn't want to go.
I almost told my parents to get their money back cuz I
didn't want to go. But I decided to stick it out and I am so
happy that I did. I am definitely going back to CHWC next
summer! I think we are going to Milwaukee. Feel free to
email me if you have any ?'s or comments. I would love to
hear them.
God Bless,
Megan
