WOW! This was my
third year going to camp and I never thought they could make
it any better then they did last year but they did. GROUP 51
WAS THE BEST! The teens, adult leaders, and staff was the
greatest everyone was so much fun. No one ever complained
cause of the heat or lack of showers, they just wanted to
serve God. This had to be one of the most spiritual
experiences I've ever had especially with the 4 corners.
(Chris, Katie, Rachael, Steve thanks for caring.) This will
certainly be a week I will never be able to forget. Thanks
to everyone that attended.
God bless all of
you,
Janae
I want to tell you thanks. I
went to the Milwaukee Workcamp this summer with 2 of my 4
children. My daughter had a life-altering experience during
the 4 corners night. She had been experimenting with
alcohol. At reconciliation, I don't know what the priest
told her, but she came out and told me that anything I might
find out that happened before that night didn't count
because she was changed now. Even now, I can still see some
change in her. My son came home so pumped up that his twin,
who stayed home because the whole idea was "dumb", is now
signed up for next summer's mission trip. I was so thankful
for the chance for my kids to be with so many Catholic kids
and see that it can be fun to be a Catholic. The other thing
that really touched me was the staff member, I think it was
Joe, who told his personal story about being adopted. Rachel
(my daughter) is also adopted, and I saw her turn and look
at me to see if I was listening when he said he was adopted.
Being adopted has never really been an issue in our family,
but as she is getting older, she seems to be searching for
something. To hear his story touched her. So thank you for
giving my children such a great experience.
Sincerely,
Mary Lou Devlin PS - I have to say it was great for me too!
I wish there had been something like this when I was young.
