Corpus Christi
is saying hi again. I would just like to thank EVERYONE who
helped this year in the
Rio Grand Valley.
I had so much fun. I learned more about myself and more
importantly GOD. YEA!! I cant wait for next year. I know a
lot of more people are going to go from Corpus Christi. Everyone
is always in my prayers. Thank you so much in helping me and
so many other kids get closer to our Lord and Savior.
God Bless Love always and forever like
a sister in Christ,
Lina Maria
Like anyone else
new to the experience, I did not know what to expect when I
went to Catholic HEART Workcamp 2003. But I am so grateful
that I went. It was wonderful. I will never forget it. I
felt uneasy at first working with complete strangers.
However, we became fast friends and had fun working and
praying together. At the end of every day, a group of team
reporters were called up to share what their teams did and
one way they saw God as they worked. Most saw Him in the
people they worked with, some in their surroundings. As for
me, on our last working day, a couple of boys from my team
and I saw a white dove fly past as we prepared to work. We
enjoyed the thought that it might have been God Himself
showing us that He was pleased with our efforts. In fact, as
I went about my first task that day, I was so cheerful that
I sang to myself the "Servant's Song" - or rather, what
verses I could remember. The highlight of my time there was
becoming friends with one boy in particular. We became close
as the days went by, and it was hard to say good-bye when
the week ended. But we are still keeping in touch, and I
hope to see him and the other friends I made at camp next
summer.

Hey all who read
this. Workcamp is the best time of your life. You get to
make new friends and get closer to God at the same time. You
help out people who want your help and you company. It is
the best week in you life. At least it was for me.

raining down on you and that makes you feel so good
inside!!! If your thinking about going please go it's the

I had an excellent
time on the trip. I met a lot of new people and I miss them
so much! I can't wait to go back next year and share this
experience with more people. I hope next year some more of
the same people are there so we can get reacquainted. I had
a lifetime experience with God and friends that I will never
forget!!

Heart Workcamp was
much more than a camp to me. I went to the camp with a group
where I knew know body and didn't have any friends now I
have pen pals a some really cool friends. I worked on a
house where the people where being evicted. The house was
filled to the top with trash. This camp gave me the
opportunity to see what awful conditions people live in and
gave me a chance to help then.

There is no word
good enough to describe work camp. It was absolutely
amazing. It was the the best week of my life. Not only was
it very fun. But it was sooo spiritual! I felt god sooo
much. I felt so wonderful. I thought it world be work a
couple hours and spend some time with your friends but it
was WAY more then that. I could NEVER thank my leader and
the staff enough for giving me this awsome oppertunity, and
I WILL be there next year no matter what!

Steve & Lisa, I hope that some day I can
repay you both and God for what you've done for my faith and
my family. Recently returned from Lexington which was awesome! Is there any way
to get a tape of Lisa's talk on Wed. night? During that talk
I thought HEART--Helping Everyone Achieve Renewal Today (one
heart at a time). That's what you really do! :-) Today at
our home we decided to have a CHWC day and do some long
overdue yard work. My 9 year old son Christian got into the
spirit and was eager to be a part. He later said- "It
shouldn't be called Catholic Heart Workcamp, but rather
Catholic HARD WORK Camp! Another jewel from our kids. My mom
recently relayed a Chicken Soup story that's precious--After
repeated attempts, a young toddler sibling of a newborn,
finally convinces the parents to leave him alone with the
baby. Mom and Dad listen, through the cracked door, to him
say- "Please tell me about Heaven. I'm beginning to forget!"
Congrats on 10 years. My prayers of thanksgiving to all of
the staff in
Orlando
& on the road. God has used you all in a great way; I'm only
one of thousands whose life's been changed forever by your
witness.
