i love workcamp, it
means so much to me. its a time a reflection every year. it
lets you get away from life as you know it, it lets you take
a step back and gives you a chance to sort through
everything in your life, and gives you a chance to see what
other people go through. everyone needs a lending hand, even
ourselves. in helping others, we help us all.

i just want to say
how much CHWC affected my life and gave me a new prespective
on life and my religion. CHWC brought me deeper into my
faith and gave me a strong relationship with Jesus Christ.
it brought my brother and I closer and gave us a strong
loving bond. it gave me the oppurtunity to become closer
with many of my youth group memebers... i also met many
wonderful people who i will never forget and i love them!
CHWC is an awesome expirience and i want to thank everyone
for giving me that oppurtunity!
God Bless, Hope
I just wanted to
share with you a cool story. In July of 2002, I went to CHWC
in Edison, NJ. A guy in my workgroup, Greg, from Lexington, KY
and I became very close that week. I also was friends with
his twin brother, Eddie. Well we kept in touch after we got
home from workcamp, which was almost 2 years ago, and we
still keep in touch to this day. Last wednesday, 5/26 was my
18th birthday, so this past memorial day weekend, I decided
I wanted to spend my first weekend as an adult with Greg,
Ed, and their family in Lexington. I left my
hometown, Cleveland OH last Saturday and I finally got to see
Greg and Ed after almost 2 years of keeping in contact via
IMs and (rarely) the phone. It was great to see them again,
and I thank God everyday that I met them at CHWC. I hope
that I will remain friends with them for a long time. I have
never met anyone like them before and seeing them reminded
me why I kept in touch with them in the first place after
almost two years. So kids, if you meet someone at CHWC that
you really feel a connection with and become close to during
your week at camp, don't just blow it off after you get back
home...you may be missing out on a great friendship, and who
knows, you may see them again someday.
With Love, Alison

CHWC was the most
incredible thing I've ever been to. You walk by people
you've never met and they'll wave at you and ask you your
name, and then you know them the rest of the week. Dancing
and singing every night and morning was probably one the
best parts about it. AND I WANNA GIVE A SHOUT OUT TO ANDY
CLONINGER!! Best singer ever!!! Hope he gets famous with his
music talent someday!! (Look for his CDs!!) I just got back
from the camp about 5 minutes ago and I had to get on this
site and look at pictures and stuff because it was so much
fun. I'm gonna miss it tonz, but I'm looking forward to
going to it in MICHIGAN next year!!!
PEACE~!

This was the first
time I had been to Catholic Heart Workcamp, and I loved it.
I will hopefully be able to come at least for the rest of my
highschool years. I met so many new friends, had an
experience of a life time, and extremely uplifted my faith
while havin the time of my life. I would recommend anyone to
this camp, it is beyond words to say how it changes you
completely.

Woot for
JAMAICA! The trip was
awesome and the island was beautiful. The people and the
children that we got to work with everyday were unforgetable.
It was a really fun week and such a great experience. It was
neat to see the different lifestyles outside of our own
country. It was cool to see how proud the locals were of
their country and all that they had even though they had so
little and how willing they were to share it with us. I went
to Bluffton, SC
last year but
Jamaica
was an eye opening experience I'll never forget.

Hey y'all! I just
got back from
Shawnee,
OK. It was amazing and the best
mission trip out of the three I've attended. Thanks to the
staff and to Christy and Joe. I'd like to give a shout out
to Group #12 and to Group #20. The sidewalk we built rocks!
(Or will when the cement people come to pour it after the
rain stops) To Andy and Walker: Thanks for the powerful
praise and worship sessions we had, they really had an
impact on my trip. Hope everyone is safe at home! Peace in
Christ, Kelly PS: Anyone who attended camp feel free to
email me. justashutterbug2005@yahoo.com

Just got back from
Lexington,
KY. This was my 6th workcamp and
never before have I had such an amazing and inspiring team,
project, or resident. Not even close. I'm so proud and
completely in awe of what Team 13 accomplished this past
week. I can only imagine the number of lives Jeanne will be
able to touch now that she can get a wheelchair out of her
house. Like she said herself, "It is a ramp of love". To
Jesse, Jim, Joe, Katie, Annie, Allison and honorary team 13
member Denny the Trouble-shooter: Forget about me...I LOVE
YOU(too much)!
God Bless.

Hey everyone! I
just wanted to say that CHWC is an amazing program that will
forever hold a place in my heart. I was at the Lexington, KY
camp this past week and it was so much fun and such an
uplifting and rewarding experience for me, as I'm sure it
was for everyone who attended. I'd like to thank Steve and
Lisa Walker for following their dream and making this
experience possible for so many people all over the country.
And Lisa, your talk was such an inspiration to me...thank
you for sharing! To the staff of CHWC, thanks for making the
week so exciting! You are a great group of people and I
admire your faithful spirits! To all the people I met at
camp...my friends...thanks for all the laughs and memories.
I miss you guys already! Keep in touch! All I have left to
say is YOU KNOW...ORLANDO!!!! I love you all! God Bless!
Mari
Oh wow!!! There
really are no words to explain how awesome the camp was for
me! It still amazes me, a month after i got home i am still
praising God as hard and as much as i was when i was a the
camp! That experience has just touched me in a way that no
one else could possibly imagine! The CHWC is amazing and God
bless all of the workers and Cathy the creator of the CHWC
program you are truly an angel sent from God! God bless and
take care.

Hey to everybody from the Baltimore Camp!
I just wanted to attest to the fact that God is working in
your life ,right now! You may not think its true but I'm
here to say it is. I don't have any story to tell you or any
proof...all I have is the amazing feeling I get when I leave
my life in God's hands. I hope and pray that everyone will
one day feel the same thing. One thing heart camp taught me
is this: every little thing you do can be done for someone
else and turn can be done for God. Even if its as simple as
holding the door for someone, smiling at a stranger,
speaking up when you hear people talking about the
Church...you can make a difference through your actions. I
used to think I had to something "great" for God---like
doing something extraordinary...But heart camp taught me I
was wrong. If I do everything in my daily life like I'm
doing it for Jesus than that's what God wants me to be
doing. I'm so blessed to have met all of the people I did
while at work camp, from my team, to the residents, to the
incredible staff. They all left impressions on me and I know
I'll never be the same. I only hope I can touch someone the
way they touched me.
Peace of Christ, Brynn john 14:6
