🎯 Ideas From Experienced Youth Ministers
Wine Cellar Raffle
Ask parishioners to donate 1-2 bottles of wine. Sell raffle tickets with multiple winners: 1st place gets 30 bottles, 2nd gets 20, 3rd gets 10, 4th gets 1. Each teen sells a set number of tickets.
Map It Out
Create a map showing distance from your church to camp. Parishioners buy miles to help you reach your destination. Make cross cutouts with family names: "The ______ family supports St. Joseph Youth."
Taco Tuesday Witness Night
Host free taco dinner (sponsored food). Teens give witness talks and show CHWC videos. Place donation paint cans on tables. Stories and pictures touch hearts and open wallets!
Take Stock in Our Youth
Sell "stock" in your teens for $10+ donations. Investors get invited to send-off mass with reception, receive "dividend statements" from camp, and attend photo viewing when you return.
Super Bingo
Presell $25 tickets with $1,000 jackpot. Include plate lunch served by teens. Extra money from additional cards and special games. Average $4,500-$5,000 for one afternoon!
Youth Basketball Tournament
Host 32-team tournament for 5th-6th graders. Entry fees bring $4,000 before it starts. Add admission and concessions for $8,000 total. Use it to showcase CHWC with continuous videos.
Night of Cultural Cuisine
People bring unique cultural dishes. Guests pay to taste and vote for favorites. Add performances to make evening more entertaining.
Lantern Release
Spectacular community event lighting up the sky. Charge per lantern or set up donation boxes. Can combine with dinner for bigger impact.
